You will not need a co-signer because you are paying cash with no loan. However if you are under 18 your parents will have to be there due to you being unable to enter into any legal contract due to being a minor. If you are over 18 you can just go in and purchase the car. Doing it with cash will make it all that much easier. Don't give in to a salesman's pushy tactics. DO NOT SIGN THAT CRAP they put in front of you that says I will buy this car if we get it to this price etc... If they pull that and won't continue without you signing it, walk out. If you do decide to sign it, remember if they start getting shady you can still walk as you have not actually signed a LEGAL contract. If you don't like the way a car drives DON'T BUY IT. You won't have any of ! these problems if you go to a reputable dealer most of the time, but it can still occur. I would recommend taking a parent or trusted older person who has purchased a few cars with you to ask advice from. I have purchased new cars on my own from when I was 19, and the truck I bought when I was 19 I got SCREWED on.
