Vickie Sterbenz: Each province in Canada has it's own age.Alberta, and Manitoba, and for you: Quebec all have the age as 18.The rest of Canada is 19.So, you can drink, and gamble in Quebec. The fact that you are American doesn't matter. If you happen to win, gambling winnings are tax free in Canada too, so, you get the entire amount. Nothing is held back for taxes like in the States....Show more

Lashawn Zabarkes: Drinking and gambling age varies by province/territory. The age to gamble and drink alcohol in Quebec is 18. I've been to both the casino de Montreal and the casino de Mont Tremblant. I've never been to Casino de Charlevoix, but I think it's the closest to Quebec City at an hour and a half away. A! lso note, in Quebec you can't drink and gamble at the same time. If you order a drink in a casino, you must drink it at the bar. You can't drink it while gambling....Show more
Kip Ockenfels: in British Columbia the drinking age is 19 (not sure about the gambling, either 18 or 19). in Alberta the drinking age is 18 and so is the gambling. I believe it's back to 19 for the drinking age in Saskatchewan. Farther than that, I'm unsure. Hope it helped. And yes, an American ID card should work just fine for anything in Canada.
Dawn Saha: 18, but you can't drink on the casino floor while gambling in Quebec.
